Milos is the fifth of the largest islands among the twenty four ones that Cyclades are consisted of. It covers 151 km2, has a lot of different beaches and a coastline of 120km length.
"Aphrodite of Milos" (Venus of Milos), which is A work of art, was created in Milos Island. It was found buried in the island in the 19th century. Unfortunately this amazing artifact, is adorned in the Louvre Museum in Paris, while in the Milos Archaeological Museum there is a copy of it.
There are also a lot of places to visit and special delicacies to taste. You can try the local products in Chora, the port or local shops that can be found around the island.
Milos island has also 2 ports. The main port and a smaller one located in Apollonia village. The port of Apollonia is mainly used for small ferry boats that organise excursions to kimolos island which is just next to Milos. These excursions are quite famous and will give you one full day experience.
